• CNS and cardiac toxicity dominate organochlorine ingestion
• Hepatotoxicity is the major manifestation of amatoxin containing mushroom ingestions and paracetamol
• Haemolysis suggests arsine gas poisoning
• Respiratory and renal damage usually predominate in paraquat toxicity
• Cardiovascular collapse and gastrointestinal toxicity are the major manifestations of colchicine and iron poisoning
