A 42 year old male presents to the Emergency Department one hour after a reported ingestion of 100 mls of methanol. He has a measured osmolar gap of 120 and an ethanol concentration of 45 mg/dL. Acid-base status on arrival in the Emergency Department is normal.

A. What evidence is there that this patient requires antidotal treatment?
