====== Major Organ Involvement ======

There are numerous examples (specialist advice should be sought) but:

  * CNS and cardiac toxicity dominate [[:wikitox:2.2.7.4.4_organochlorines|organochlorine]] ingestion
  * Hepatotoxicity is the major manifestation of amatoxin containing [[:wikitox:2.3.4_plants|mushroom ingestions]] and [[:wikitox:2.1.1.1_acetaminophen|paracetamol]]
  * Haemolysis suggests [[:wikitox:2.2.6.1_arsenic|arsine gas]] poisoning
  * Respiratory and renal damage usually predominate in [[:wikitox:2.2.7.3.1_paraquat|paraquat]] toxicity
  * Cardiovascular collapse and gastrointestinal toxicity are the major manifestations of [[:wikitox:2.1.1.5.1_colchicine|colchicine]] and [[:wikitox:2.1.9.6_iron|iron]] poisoning
